To say our family loves Halloween is an understatement. Besides getting decked out with costumes and decorations, October is our favorite month of the year because there are so many festive fall activities. One of our favorite October traditions is visiting some of the best pumpkin patches in Utah. Cornbelly’s, Hee Haw Farms, Kuwahara Farm to name a few. There are so many to choose from! Beyond just picking out pumpkins for decorations and jack-o-lanterns, these pumpkin patches have lots of really fun kid-friendly activities, rides, games, and shows.

So, because 13 is the lucky number often associated with Halloween and spooky stuff, here’s 13 of the best kid-friendly Halloween activities and pumpkin patches in Utah to add to your fall bucket list. Hope you enjoy!

BEST PUMPKIN PATCHES IN UTAH: UTAH COUNTY

1. Wilkerson Farm in Orem

Wilkerson Farm is a pumpkin patch in Utah with a fair-like atmosphere and rides. If all you’re looking for are some fresh-picked pumpkins, entry to that part of the farm is free. But if you want to do more, like the corn maze and the rides, then entry is $14.95 but kids 0-4 are free. They also offer family photo sessions with an on-site photographer for an additional fee, starting at $65.

2. Hee Haw Farms in Pleasant Grove

Hee Haw Farms is one of our favorite pumpkin patches in Utah and a great budget-friendly option for families with little kids. In addition to the pumpkin patch, they have a corn maze, a cool playground made from farm equipment, and a small petting zoo. What really makes Hee Haw unique is the giant pumpkin weigh-off and pumpkin drop. They have huge pumpkins that weight hundreds, sometimes thousands, of pounds, which they raise into the air on a crane and promptly drop. People love gathering to watch the smashing pumpkins (not be confused with the alternative rock band The Smashing Pumpkins).

3. Glen Ray’s Corn Maze

Glen Ray’s family has been farming corn in Utah County for 150 years. He was an icon in the area and became known as the “corn fairy”, so it’s only fitting that the family started a corn maze in his honor to entertain local families. Glen Ray’s Corn Maze is one of the best corn mazes in Utah for families on a budget. It only costs $10.95 but still boasts a 4.6-star rating on Google.

It also has a pumpkin patch, giant slides, a corn pit and some fun games for kids. If you want to save money but still still want a fun time with your kids, Glen Ray’s is a great option.

4. Cornbelly’s in Lehi

Cornbelly’s is one of the most popular pumpkin patches in Utah, mainly because of the many rides and attractions, not to mention the fireworks shows (which happen every Friday & Saturday night). We love going to Cornbelly’s and think it’s one of the best fall activities in Utah and one of the most festive ways to spend a fall evening.

But to be honest, the pumpkin patch portion of the fall festival is a bit of a letdown. It’s just a huge pile of pumpkins. But we still recommend going, just be aware that you’re paying for the attractions, rides, and festivities and the pumpkin patch is a bit of an afterthought.

5. Black Island Farms in Syracuse

Black Island Farms just west of Hill Air Force Base on the way to Antelope Island boasts a large pumpkin patch and a giant 12-acre corn maze. What makes this one of the best pumpkin patches in Utah is that it has a real pumpkin patch! There are two options for picking pumpkins. One is to take a scenic tractor ride out the patch and cut one straight from the vine. The other is to just visit their farmer’s market and select a freshly-picked pumpkin from there.

They’ve also got everything you’d expect from a place like this – hay rides, giant slides, corn kernel pits, and pig races. Actually, it’s the only pumpkin patch in Utah with pig races, so if that’s interesting to you then add this one to your bucket list.

6. Happy Pumpkin Corn Maze in West Haven

For those of you located near Ogden, Happy Pumpkin Corn Maze is an autumn wonderland that boasts one of the largest corn mazes in Utah, ideal for families of all ages. As you explore, you’ll discover the excitement of navigating a colossal corn maze, designed with family-friendly fun in mind. And for the brave souls among us, there’s the Field of Fear Haunted House.

The fun doesn’t stop there. Happy Pumpkin Patch offers an array of pumpkin varieties, ideal for all your fall activities and decorating needs. Besides the corn maze and pumpkin patch, visitors can enjoy the giant slides, Ninja Star Throw, Giant Swingset, delicious food, live music, and more. 7. Black Island Farms in Syracuse

Black Island Farms just west of Hill Air Force Base on the way to Antelope Island boasts a giant 12-acre corn maze. They’ve got everything you’d expect from a place like this – hay rides, pumpkin patches, giant slides, corn kernel pits, and pig races. Actually, it’s the only place on this list with pig races, so if that’s interesting to you then add this one to your bucket list! They also have a haunted corn maze option for ages 12+ called Haunted Acres.

8. The Green Acres Dairy Farm in Ogden

Gibson’s Green Acres is a good budget-friendly option for families in northern Utah and the highest-rated pumpkin patch north of Salt Lake City with 4.6 stars. What makes this one of the coolest fall attractions in northern Utah is that it’s been a working dairy farm for over 150 years in the same family! In 2016 they decided to diversify their farm business and turned part of the farm land into this corn maze & pumpkin patch attraction.Tickets to their fall festival cost $11 and include two corn mazes, a pumpkin patch, riding tractor trikes, a hay maze, some kid-friendly games, and a petting zoo.

9. Crazy Corn Maze in West Jordan

Crazy Corn Maze is on my fall bucket list this year because it seems to be one of the most unique fall attractions in Utah. On top of the corn maze what really makes them stand out as one of the best pumpkin patches in Utah is their “Fright Lights” attraction (think Christmas in Color meets Halloween). You walk through a pumpkin patch pathway with light shows synced to music. I know my kids will go crazy for it! Tickets are $15 and include a pumpkin to take home from the patch.

10. Kuwahara Farm in Riverton

Kuwahara Farm is one of the best pumpkin patches in Utah, best known for its pumpkin patch and Halloween Village. It also has bounce houses, a corn pit, a corn maze and face painting for kids. There are nightly performances, which have included fire dancers dressed as skeletons in the past.

Tickets for the pumpkin patch are just $5 and goes towards the purchase of your pumpkins but if you want to experience the Halloween Village, tickets are $18.95 on weeknights and $24.95 on weekends.

11. Maybe’s Pumpkin Patch in South Jordan

Maybe’s Pumpkin Patch is a family farm in South Jordan that’s been around since 1884. It’s one of the best pumpkin patches in Utah because it’s the real deal – it sits on 16 acres and boasts 45 different varieties of companies that the actually grow on site. It’s not just some pile of pumpkins that you find at some of the other pumpkin patches.

There are lots of Instagram-worthy photo backdrops for families and the best part is – entry is free! You only pay for the pumpkins you end up purchasing. This is one of the best pumpkin patches because it’s a real farm and it’s the most budget-friendly of the bunch. The only reason it’s not higher is that it doesn’t have any fall festival attractions and rides.

12. Cross E. Ranch in North Salt Lake

Cross E Ranch is a working farm that’s open year-round and is best-known for its baby animal spring festival and fall festivals. It tops our list of best pumpkin patches in Utah for two reasons. One – the pumpkin patch is real and not just a bunch of pumpkins lined up on the ground. And two – it’s got a super fun fair atmosphere as well. There are hay rides, a corn maze, zip lines, giant slides, apple cider donuts, caramel apples, animal races, and pretty much everything you’d expect from a place like this. Tickets to the fall festival cost $15.95 on weekdays and $18.95 on weekends.

13. All things pumpkin at Gardner Village

Gardner Village has started advertising on billboards that they’re “Utah’s own silo experience”, referring to Magnolia Market at The Silos in Waco, Texas (made famous by Chip & Joanna Gaines). It’s an appropriate comparison – it’s a collection of boutique shops that sits on the site of an old mill from the 1800s. And every year from mid-September through Halloween, Gardner Village hosts Witchfest.

Gardner Village doesn’t have a pumpkin patch in the traditional sense where you go looking for a pumpkin to take home. But they do pumpkins everywhere with tons of photo opps, whether it’s the wall of pumpkins, pumpkin decorations in the shops, or pumpkin spice-flavored goodies at any of the many food vendors on site. So, I’m counting it!
